On May 3 during regular session of City Council, Mayor John Long gave recognition to two local hero’s for saving an elderly woman from a burning house last month. The families of Dane Foster and Sergeant Zach James attended to watch as each were presented with plaques. On April 21, both Foster and James entered a burning house to aide in the rescue a wheel chair bound woman and her daughter. Mayor Long thanked both of them for their swift and selfless act of kindness served for another in their community.
