Judson Stewart Memorial brings help to family in need

Posted on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 8:40 am

Jason Stewart visits with teams for the second annual Judson Stewart Memorial Trivia night held on Feb. 3.

The Second Annual Judson Stewart Trivia Night was held Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Monroe City.
This year 100 percent of the proceeds raised are being donated to a local family to help with costs of their newborn who was born prematurely and hospitalized Springfield, IL. Adaline Grace, born in October, was born to Noah Tolbert and Haley Clarkson. Baby Adaline is currently still in the hospital. Both parents are still working and driving back and forth to be with their baby daily until she is strong enough to come home.
Judson Stewart was born on Jan. 30, 2016 and created quite the legacy in his 61 days.  Judson was born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia(CDH). The Stewarts held the Memorial Trivia Night in honor of their infant son’s life.
When the Stewarts learned that their son would be born with CDH they started a Facebook page called “Just Breath Baby Stewart” for the community and family to follow their journey of faith and love with their son. Judson’s story was soon taken by the whole community bringing people together through hope, prayer and acts of compassion. Now they continue to use the page to help keep Judson’s legacy alive.
