Is a healthy body is a healthy mind, or is a healthy mind a healthy body?
Have you ever heard of the saying “a healthy body is healthy mind?”
This idea revolves around if your body is in good health, your mentality will also be in “good health.”
Well this may be true for some, but what about the other way around? It seems as though the media is always pushing for ways to improve your body, through diet and exercise.
However, stress, anxiety, depression and other conditions make eating healthy and exercising hard to do.
Taking care of your mind first, may just be your answer to living a healthy lifestyle and getting in a better diet and more exercise.
So, what is the secret to a healthy mind? Studies have linked meditation to having more energy, less fatigue, less feelings of anger, anxiety and depression, and lower levels of the stress-hormone cortisol.
Meditation is anything that helps relax the body and calm the mind.  This can include focusing your attention on an object, your own breathing, reciting numbers or words, or whatever you prefer. The point it, take time for yourself and just be present with the moment in time. Turn off everything around you and just focus on you.
