On July 6, two men biking across America from Oregon to New Jersey rode in to town with plans to sleep at North Park on the picnic tables calling them extra-long twin beds. Ahead of the bicyclists was their assistant Sean Crossland, documenting the journey. Crossland stated, “The goal is to ride 100 miles a day and complete the journey in two and half months.” Gary Christopher, at the age of 60 decided to ride across country to make a difference in children’s lives. Christopher is a soccer coach, teaches camps on speed and agility throughout the greater Philadelphia area.
