On March 13, Michaela (Micha) Gottman signed with Hannibal LaGrange University for the Shotgun Sports Team. Accompanying her for support were her parents, Trent and Consetta Gottman, siblings and grandparents among many other family members. She was surrounded by the MCR-1 faculty and students including her current FFA advisors and future coach.
Micha started shooting sports at the age of seven in 4-H. At a young age, she was nicknamed “Annie Oakley” by her 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Sonny Lee, for her ability to shoot well. Among the shooting sports she participated in, one was archery, where she has won two tournaments triumphing over multiple adult men. Micha started shooting trap at the age of 14 during a family reunion before joining FFA.
Micha joined the MCR-1 FFA trap team as a sophomore, obtaining the top female shooter title in her chapter.
