Farmers Elevator Happy Trails send off for McCormick’s retirement held Nov. 29

Marlin McCormick retires after 15 years at Farmers Elevator of Monroe City.

On November 29, The Farmers Elevator & Exchange Company held a retirement party for General Manager, Marlin McCormick in the front lobby of their main office with a theme stating ‘Happy Trails’. The public stopped in throughout the afternoon to visit with McCormick, enjoying conversation with fellow co-op friends and customers after being a leader there for the last 15 years. Guests enjoyed cake, cookies and punch while visiting with those in attendance.
McCormick began working for The Farmers Elevator on April 1, 2003. He and his wife Evelynn relocated to the Monroe City area from Beardstown, IL where he had managed a co-op for several years.
