The Back to School Health and Safety Fair was held on August 5 at the Dan Mudd Gymnasium. On the parking lot, across from the middle school, the Air Evac Life team was present with two helicopters which took off and landed.
The helicopter teams were also available to speak with kids about the importance and what they do. The Monroe City Ambulance was also present showing families the cardiac monitor, stretcher and how the stethoscope works. Ki’liah and Ki’ariah Ketsenburg, daughters of Blair Joiner and Ronnie Ketsenburg, were present to enjoy all the fun. The two girls will start preschool this fall and Ki’liah stated, “I am excited,” as she jumped up and down with her sister smiling. Children were able to tour the ambulance and see what the inside of the vehicle looked like.
