Two gas stations plan to expand their space in the future. In the city council meeting held on August 3, the city alderman approved requests from BP Gas Station and Casey’s General Store to make additions to their current businesses after reviewing the recommendation of approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held earlier that evening.
The BP Gas station has already begun construction to the building with plans to extend the structure out 24 foot to the west and then back to the south 59 feet. With the addition, the store plans to add new restroom facilities and a beer cave along with needed space for the general part of the store. The Casey’s General Store has plans to build a 15-foot addition to the west end of their building.
