The city was busy at work Monday morning, July 31, following through with orders given after the recent Nuisance Board met on July 27 for appeal hearings. City employees were at 105 North Main carrying out the measures needed to follow the nuisance abatement order given at the meeting.
The front door of the building was propped open and water was being pumped from the premises. The smell of mildew was wifting from the doorway and black mold could be seen throughout the inside of the structure.
A resident stood in the rear of the building and stated, “I have complained about the smell of mildew and the hole in the roof for several months to the city. They kept telling me it was a process.”
