The Monroe City Educational Travel held their annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser on Saturday, December 8. Children arrived with excitement looking for the fella in the red suit, while others weren’t so sure about getting too close to the man with the beard. Children were on their best behavior knowing Santa was so close. Each child had the chance to sit on Santa’s lap, take their picture and received a candy cane. Organizer Jennifer Hays stated, “We had a great turnout.”
After their visit with Santa, families were seen sitting together enjoying their breakfast. Each guest was served pancakes, sausage, fruit and juice. Many were observed enjoying a cup of coffee and visiting during the morning event.
The Monroe City Educational Travel is scheduled to travel the East Coast with stops in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. in June of 2019.
