Brad Bohrer, of Monroe City, dies

Brad Wesley Bohrer, 18, of rural Monroe City, passed away Thursday, Sept. 17 at his home. He was born March 29,1997 in Hannibal, the son of Robbie Wesley Bohrer and Sara Jane Kendrick.

Brad was a member of the Prairie View Baptist Church in Shelby County and a 2015 graduate of Monroe City High School. He was presently attending Central Methodist University in Fayette.
He worked as a “Farm Hand” for many of his neighbors. When in High School he was a member of the FFA, Choir, Monroe City Golf Team and participated in the school play. He loved to read books, ride four wheelers, play the guitar and video games and most of all hang out with family and friends.
He is survived by his Mother and Father Sara Masterson and Robbie Bohrer, Monroe City; Maternal Grandparents J. Robert and Barbara Kendrick, Monroe City; Paternal Grandfather Charles Bohrer and Great Grandmother Mary Wunderlich both of Monroe City; Siblings Tyler Kendrick, Cecil and Montana Masterson of the home; Aunts and Uncles Joe, Dick, Brad, Brian (Sara) Kendrick, Kim (Shane) Walden, Kelly (David) Miller, Randy (Stephanie) Bohrer, Susan (Jeff) Tucker and Marsha (Robert) Moss. Also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles and many cousins.
His maternal grandmother Linda Bohrer, cousin Bridgett Kendrick, twin cousins Bailey and Riley Miller and one aunt Patti Kendrick preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Monroe City First Baptist Church, Brother Andy Lattin officiated and the burial was at the St. Jude Cemetery.
Visitation was from 3:30-7 p.m. Monday evening at the Monroe City Baptist Church. Active pallbearers were J.D. Brown, Davey Ketsenburg, Trey Talbert, Laine Hays, Mitchell Pennewell and Jessica Foster. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Kendrick, Cecil Masterson, Montana Masterson, Ryan Cooper and all of Brad’s friends.
