Attending a Monroe City football game or track meet and taking a trip to the concession stand gives back to the Monroe City R-1 Athletic Department. The Monroe City Booster Club works hard with volunteers to gain profit that allows the club to give back to the athletic department. It is the goal of the booster club to help provide items for the students that the department would not be able to otherwise purchase.
Since the new stadium was built in 2014 the club has given back approximately $27,600 in purchased items and has increased the male and female athlete scholarship amount to $500 from $300. The Booster Club hopes to increase the number of scholarships issued each year as income increases.
