The third reading to clarify the ordinance concerning appointed officials was read at the regular session Board of Alderman meeting on July 5. The new ordinance passed will allow appointed officials such as the City Attorney to live outside the city limits.
Earlier in the meeting during open forum, Jerry Potterfield addressed the City Council with concerns regarding the current City Attorney John Wilcox’s itemized billing to the City. Potterfield has questioned the amount being charged in previous City Council meetings.
