Blood Drive brings out community of givers

Brian Kendrick is prepared to give much needed blood during the July 24 blood drive at the Holy Rosary Parish Center, sons Colton and Tristen enjoy cookies.

On July 24, the American Red Cross held a blood drive. Several residents participated in donating blood to help maintain adequate blood supply for patients in need. The blood drive was held at the Holy Rosary Church Parish Center. Donors received a commemorative St. Louis Cardinals Blood Drive T-shirt.
The American Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage and is issuing an emergency call for eligible blood and platelet donors of all blood types to give now and help save lives.
Local donor, Brian Kendrick states, “I give blood because I can, you never know when someone you know may need it.”
Blood donations have fallen short of expectations for the past two months.
