On Sunday, September 9, the First Baptist Church hosted their sixth annual block party, with approximately 150 guests. The entire community was invited to attend and take part in the many activities planned for the afternoon at St. Jude’s park. This year, the activities were set up mostly in the street due to the park being saturated from rainfall the previous days. Residents of all age groups were seen visiting and enjoying the days planned events.
The event started promptly at 3:30 p.m. with childrens games available. Upon arrival, guests were encouraged to register and obtain a nametag and enjoy free popcorn and cotton candy. The churches youth group and church members assisted in games where children could win small prizes for participating.
