Empty store fronts on North Main Street see a new look this holiday season.

Recently, Matthew Perrine, new owner of The Applebee Tree purchased the buildings located from 100-108 on North Main Street. The 100 block of North Main Street is becoming a popular stop the past week after the buildings have set empty for more than three years. From the street, the store front of 104 North Main Street displays a colorful variety of lit Christmas trees painting an inviting atmosphere to people passing by.

Perrine stated, “The Broughton’s were so helpful with the process of selling the building. I had only contacted them to rent a store front for the Christmas season and ended up owning the entire block.” Perrine explained how the Broughton’s had shared their vision of being a business entrepreneur with a vision, stating, “I want to help others also with their dreams of owning their own business and lease the store front to other entrepreneurs.”
Perrine explained he was only trying to display all the Christmas décor previous owner, Cindy Schnelton had available and inquired about the buildings looking for more space. The store is currently an extension of The Applebee Tree.
